Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé has suffered a muscle injury, casting doubt over the forward’s participation in the weekend derby against Atlético Madrid.

Mbappe, has been in fine form for Real following his blockbuster summer move from Paris Saint-Germain, scoring seven goals in nine matches across all competitions. The 25-year-old was substituted in the 80th minute of the 3-2 win against Deportivo Alavés at the Bernabéu on Tuesday and gestured to his thigh while leaving the pitch.
